Gamer Baseball
was founded in 2006 by Wooster High School Graduate and former Philadelphia Philly, Todd Coburn. Our first camp was conducted in South Reno in 2003 under the name Big League Dreams. We have since changed our name and have grown every year.  We will have 10-15 camps in the Reno / Tahoe area in 2008!

Gamer Baseball was started with the intention of helping youth baseball players not only become better players but, more importantly, become more respectful and responsible people. Our camps involve extensive training regarding the skills involved with the game of baseball while having a significant focus on the mental side of the game which will often translate into life.

The definition of a “Gamer” is someone who not only plays the game right and well, but someone who has a positive attitude, always gives a 100% and understands the importance of controlling their emotions. Our motto “Get Dirty” says it all…The game isn’t always easy and life isn’t always fun. Sometimes you need to get a little “dirty” with blood, sweat and maybe even some tears to be successful.

Come to a Gamer Baseball Camp or Clinic and learn how to not only succeed in the game of baseball but also in the game of life.

OUR MISSION...

Gamer Baseball
instruction strives to provide youth baseball players the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game of baseball in a fun and safe environment. It is our mission to teach our athletes that their attitude, effort and emotions have just as much to do with getting them to the next level as their physical skills. It is hoped that through our training our athletes improve the skills needed for playing the game of baseball as well as the skills needed to play the game of life.

Gamer Baseball Owner & Director Todd Coburn conducted several Boys and Girls Club events around the Reno / Tahoe area this Fall to pass along the Right Decisions Right Now Program message.

The Right Decisions, Right Now program was developed for parents and educators to provide six basic lessons for building self-esteem and confidence in young people. Guides have been generated to help youth resist peer pressure, avoid substance abuse and violence, and build solid leadership skills for their future.

In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares
about them. Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more. Club
programs and services promote and enhance the development
of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence,
usefullness, belonging and influence. Boys & Girls Clubs
are a safe place to learn and grow, all while having fun.
They are truly the positive place for kids.
  • Boys & Girls clubs have served some 4.6 million children
  • There are some 3,900 club locations in 50 states and Puerto Rico
Gamer Baseball is dedicated to helping the nations youth both on and off the field.
